VHS-C to Digital?

Postby JoeyFNK on Tue Jul 06, 2010 7:38 pm

Is there a way to get something from a VHS-C format into digital? I don't have the camera I made the movies with, and I don't have a VCR, does anyone know of a way to do this or do I just need to get a VCR and an adapter for the VHS-C and then get some VHS to DVD shit as well?

You need a DVD recorder also.

With the right cable, and a capture device of some kind, you could stream your movie from the camera to the computer, then burn to DVD.

I don't have the camera anymore, which is the problem.

Step 1: Have a VCR with A/V inputs and outputs.
Step 2: Have a set of A/V cables (the red-white-yellow kind).
Step 3: Have a DVD Recorder with A/V inputs.
Step 4: Connect the VCR to the DVD Recorder.
Step 5: ???
Step 6: PROFIT!

Yeah clearly I knew that way, I was hoping there was ANOTHER way. Which there appears to not be.

Yea, theres no easier was around it, well... other than taking it to a store/studio to do it for you. If you have a camera store in your mall or anywhere near you, sometimes they can convert stuff for you.
