Senator wrote:I take special care to make sure move mapping is as standardized as possible, eg, you're not going to see a pin mapped to "O" or a Powerbomb to "Up+O" in front grapples. This makes editing and actual gameplay much easier with such a massive roster, as you then have a general idea what you're going to do with someone.

This kind of edit conformity is something I can get behind. Even if it means letting Goose get behind me as well.

Senator, I'm also looking forward to checking out your work. There are a number of guys that have yet to be made for WWE and TNA, or at least updated. Any rounding out of those rosters is appreciated.

Looks good. Most interested to see what you did with the in-game wrestlers.

Any idea how long it will be before you can release? Days? Weeks? Months?

Don't worry. Not planning to hold you to anything, lol.

At the most, a month, which also means you get more added to the list in the meantime. At the least, a few days, if I can find a transfer device quickly. Just wondering, can you mod a regular flash device to port saves with the proper software?

Yeah, you should be able to. I've tried a number of different flash drives with my Max Drive software. Results have been variable. Some models have worked just fine. Others haven't shown any files when I go into the menu for the flash drive (from the MAX Drive interface; they read fine if I look at the device contents via my PC's menu). I'm told Max Drive doesn't read certain models, but, from my experience, it doesn't seem that picky.

what's the chance max drive would work with an 1st generation i-pod shuffle? (for those who don't know, an i-pod shuffle works as a flash drive, as well)

This might be the pack I look most forward to. I have edits of most everyone on the list, but having them all made specifically to interact with one another will be pretty slick...

Alright, I finally finished it and got it up! I got a bunch of surprises on the pack, too, so do note that my list here on the site is not final, and I will update it when I feel like doing so.

Do let me know what you people think about the pack, I consider myself a jack of all trades, master of none, when it comes to edits, which I kinda have to be, to make that many...so there's likely problems galore that I can fix(or choose not to fix) in future installments. Some re-edits, for example, have minimal changes, only being re-edited so I can redo the stats to fit my formula, and rename their finisher(and leave them open for future re-edits.)

I think it should work perfectly, others here have used iPods before. Might depend on the software though, but if the originals won't detect it, I'm pretty sure there might be some hacked version of Codebreaker or ARmax that has larger compatibility.

Heya Senator, great pack. Nice to see all the re-edits, not to mention the full American rosters!

Only thing is I'm not sure the scaling thing has worked too well. Kobashi has twice as many points as Daivari, but I simmed them three times and Kobashi lost twice. And all three matches were 30+ minutes. I did the same thing with Undertaker/Shark Boy, and yielded the same result. I think I'll look into some of those old logic discussions topics and see if I can get these upper card guys to squash the more lowly ones a little more. Anybody got any tips?

Ukemi, as previously mentioned, is very screwed up on lower card guys. I started some fixes on it before I submitted, rest assured, when I release my next version of the save, it'll be with a major Ukemi revamp. I'll also look into finishing sequences, and the three general logic categories, which might have played a role.

I really appreciate the feedback, this helps me immensely. Knowing what people find wrong(and right, for that matter) pushes me to step up my game, and improve as much as possible.

Funny, though, while Daivari's a shade tougher than he likely should be(mainly because I made him a bit stronger when he was squashing a few jobbers on ECW), he's not generally put out THAT tough of a fight, at least against my better people. Shark Boy generally gets off some surprising offence, but usually gets stomped by most higher class people, especially someone like Taker, who generally kills people dead.

Then again, I once simmed a twelve match series between Kane and Benoit, since Kane kept winning, I kept going at it, making subtle changes each time or so. Finally, I found that I had made a fundamental error with Benoit's moveset(I think I had inverted the % for two moves that really screwed him over), and he finally got two wins over Kane, effectivly making the series 10 - 2 in favor of the Big Red Machine...

regarding osaka pro and m-pro guys in this pack

Postby eddydeanclassic on Mon Jan 29, 2007 8:37 pm

Does anyone know if the Osaka Pro and Michinoku Pro guys are still in? I use Billy Ken Kid and Kamen OF Osaka Pro a ton and Yohitsune has probably the nicest looking aerial press moonsault in the game. K=Just wondering because the pack sounds totally rad!

I've not re-edited any Osaka guys(other than, technically, Kikutaro(and Kikustan Hansen :D ) I'll likely have Delfin and Kishiwada in the next release, but I haven't seen enough recent Osaka to really do a decent job on many others.

No problem Senator. I aslo wanted to say that the only reason I brought it up was because it was the only thing wrong with the pack. Everything else is peaches n' cream...

You might want to check out Jae's puro indy pack. He either re-edited or created quite a few of the M-Pro/Osaka Pro guys. I use his updated BKK quite a lot, too.
