Blood Question (CPU Logic)

Postby The Dark Horse on Sat Jun 04, 2011 6:41 pm

Hey guys,

You know I have noticed that in this game. Some wrestlers bleed easy and some don't. Now when I make wrestlers I usually do appearence, moveset and parameters. Unless you count the priority thing (the one move follows another move thing), I've never touched the CPU logic. However in one of the matches I'm doing, I'm going to make the outfit of one of my wrestlers look like he is carrying a sharp weapon and not like he wearing a sleeve or glove or whatever.

I already made the outfit but when this wrestler hits the other wrestlers, they usually don't bleed at around the 3rd of 4th strike in the match. In fact it's a miracle if they bleed at all. I just want to know is their a way to tweek the CPU logic, so the opponents can get hit like 2 or 3 times from this wrestler and immediately start to bleed? If anyone has that info let me know.

There is a movelist somewhere around here that tells you what moves can cause bleeding.
I think it's the same as the critical list.

There's a move data document on Jason Blackhart's site. Last column is "Blood"

http://www31.brinkster.com/jblackhart/

The move data list is the first file listed under "Documents". For blood, the list gives the percentage chance that the move will cause bleeding. Obviously, any percentage greater than zero means the move can make an opponent bleed.

Unfortunately, the short answer to that specific question is no. There's no way to guarantee an opponent will bleed in FPR in any match. Heck, I've seen wrestlers go a while in hardcore/explosion matches without bleeding.

The long answer is check out the move data document for the strikes that have the highest percentage of blood-letting. The "knuckle arrow" is a pretty high candidate as is some of the shoudas. If you use cpu logic to put those moves early in the moveset, you'll at least be upping the likelihood of early blood. But you can't guarantee it, it's all up to chance and the engine.

I guess this means simming a First Blood match is out of the question, even if I edited a moveset and CPU logic that is likely to cause bleeding, right?

I think it's a very cool idea. It just may not work with every sim but you'll get a few sims where bleeding happens around a good period of time (and doesn't take forever...or not happen at all). You'll just have to be patient with doing resims if necessary but first blood is certainly doable, just not super reliable.

Just stack the end part of the moveset with a lot of knuckle arrows and scythes/knifes to the face. You'll get bleeding eventually :D

Interesting match-up and storyline.
Though Yada seems way out of place with those other wrestlers.

And I recognize that Nakagawa ;)
