Any New Edit Packs Out There?

Postby TheJess2000 on Sat Jun 02, 2012 9:44 pm

I hadn't played Fire Pro Returns in well over a year. After playing some of the newer WWE games for PS3 I came to this conclusion, a conclusion that I had already come to a few years ago: Fire Pro Returns is quintessentially the best wrestling ever. Period. I have the AR Max, tested it, it still works and was wondering if any of my Fire Pro brethren know of any new good edit packs floating around the web.

Have you played the history packs from djkm77? He did one for the 1980's, one for the 1990's, a History of TNA, a History of ROH, and a history of WWE from 2002-2011. Since then, the other big packs have been from him as well, doing specific years of a federation (like AWA 1982).

Hey SpiderFab4, thanks for the reply. I have the 80's and 90's pretty well covered thanks to REV's classic WWF 88 and WCW 98 packs; but I am interested in the one you mentioned for the WWE history 2002-2012; can I download that from this site or is it available elsewhere? Thanks!

Hey Jess, recently traded in WWE 12 and came back to Fire Pro again and I'm glad I did. There's just something about CPU logic, thousands of moves, 500 edit slots and 8-man tag matches that no other game can seem to replicate.

As SpiderFab said, check out djkm's saves because he has covered the territories era, 80s, 90s (2 saves), History of TNA, History of ROH, WWE 2002-2011, World Class Wrestling in the eighties, Lucha Libre in the 90s, NWA in 1989, AWA, Mid South and there is even a Japan save. The 80s includes WWWF, WWF, NWA, World Class, Memphis and more. The 90s save has WWF, WCW and ECW. I'm currently playing with the 80s save.

Because I've been away from Fire Pro so long, I'm trying to perfect the grapple timing again so I win some and lose some on Level 10. Had an awesome match between Bruiser Brody (cpu) vs Kerry Von Erich (me) that went 17 minutes Fire Pro time with me getting my tail handed to me throughout the first portion of the match. I then started taking the match to the outside and doing moves that would put me back in the match. Brody then destroyed me for a while again but then I came back with a tornado punch and a flying cross body before applying the claw hold. Brody wouldn't submit and moments later hit a piledriver for the win. Wild and great match!

@Everyone: thanks for all the info guys, I will definitely give those packs a download. And you're right Lando, 8-Man tags rock. I never could figure out why, philosophically speaking, that WWF Royal Rumble, for the SNES, in 1993 could sport 6 guys on the screen max, and here 20+ years down the road the WWE games, in spite of landmark technological advances are still stuck on six at a time. Go figure that one.

Awesome edit pack! Got all the guys on my list! And the El Generico is spot on, excellent work. As a husband and father of two with a full time job it saves me a lot of time!
