It's something I'd be game for if they had a couple lying around the office, both for the sake of having an English manual and for the sake of completion. :)

Am I the only person that's having trouble downloading the manual? The speed is incredibly slow, about 3KB/s, and then it just stops. It's taking over half an hour to get a 4MB file which would usually take about 3 seconds.

yeah mine is stuck at 95%, and it took about 10 minutes to get here...

Tried it again an hour later and it eventually finished. Took less time to re-upload it than it did to download.

There's a Mirror link in the first post, get it from there.

Niggas be frontin' on my knowledge.

You get your back to the ropes there, really close, and let the grapple happen. Then you press directional towards the ropes and R1.

You will toss the dude to the apron, then while he's all wonky press R1 again to grapple. Then press whatever apron move you want to do.

Earlier I did a Landmine Deathmatch between Kobashi and Misawa.

thanks for that! i had been doing it all wrong. tossing them to the outside and then waiting for them to get back on the apron for the slight chance we'd grapple.

I've read my manual and the faq's over at GameFaq and there are still some things I can not figure out.

When you irish whip an opponent against the ropes and they are running back towards you, how do you leap frog or drop to the mat.

How do you, yourself exit the ring onto the apron so you can do a springboard move back into the ring?

And finally how do you switch to a back grapple from a front grapple?

thanx

The irish whip thing is in the manual, it's called a feint for some fucking reason...but it is in there multiple times...

You can't just switch to the back grapple from a front grapple unless you have a go-behind move assigned to one of the buttons. If you do it's just executed like any other move, but you have to have one and know where it is...

jesus I can't even think of how to get to the apron without firing it up, I want to say tap square but don't hold me to that...

I think* Square exits to the floor and X exits to the apron. In the Japanese version, anyway.

*Even though I play this game multiple times a week, I'm so used to it that I'm unconscious about the buttons when I play, heh.

Ah the feint move, yes I was confused on what that actually meant.

Thanks for clearing those things up for me.

I understand about the unconsciousness about the button thing for simple moves, I was that way with No Mercy. I could execute them all fine but when explaining to someone it was hard, my fingers were just accustomed to the motions.

Yeah, I think you've got it right - Square exits to the floor and X to the apron.

Kinda funny. i'm like the king of noobs. i still haven't gotten past the first level of Sonic Heroes and i have barely finished a game. i thought Fire Pro would be way too hard for me because everybody was saying how hard it was. i gave it a try and oh my god fire pro was so easy! everything was in the manual. now i have to ponder why these noobs don't get this game. :?

by the way, i had NEVER heard of fire pro before it was released in the US

Its nice to have the English manual, although I didn't really need it after having checked through Bill Wood's Complete guide to Firepro but its nice to have. I was like what the heck when I opened my newly aquired fire pro game and all I saw was a French manual. I mean really not that many Canadians speak French to get away with something like that lol.

Dude for some reason I mark out to the wrestler drawings in the background. It's weird that none of them are even in the game assuming that the drawing on the back is the origional El Santo.

Well that's pretty cool of them. I can't think of many companies who'll hand out PDF manuals on their website.

Another thing I appreciate is that the manual covers so many aspects of the game. There's even a few pages dedicated to Logo Editing (not that I'll ever figure that one out.)

I mean, FPR's booklet is like 40 pages thick. Compare that to SVR2007, which is like, 12 pages, with 4 of them dedicated to soundtrack credits. Which is what every gamer is dying to look up when they reach for that manual, I'm sure.

I'm good with the pdf file. It looks exactly the same and takes up less space since it's 2 pages on one. And when the manual gets chewed, you're boned. But the pdf file can just be re-printed

It's something I'd be game for if they had a couple lying around the office, both for the sake of having an English manual and for the sake of completion. :)

I just emailed them and put on my best "loyal customer, but pissed about this indiscretion" voice. I basically said thanks for the game, there was no english manual, please remedy this asap as I am very displeased, here's my address. I didn't recieve a reply, but it arrived in the mail about 5 days later.

I have a copy of the game coming to me from a fellow Canadian though Goozex, and I am sort of glad I found out the manual is in French.... because I printed this one up for reference. (I've been printing a lot of things in preparation for the game arriving actually ;) )

small question hope its ok.
there's two of these moves, one is running corner. that one is easy i can do that move any time , but then under that in the move edit list there is just corner. no mater what attack i assign i can never seem to pull it off in the ring. is it a distance this? or is it another button other then circle? this one has been getting to me for a while.
thanks

Alright buddy I have two things to say...

1. I am the only Slick on these boards. Got that!?
2. I know exactly what you mean I have always wondered how to do the second attack.

The "corner" move is for when your tag partner irish whips you into the corner.
