Im a little late to jump on this but all i can say is wow. Fantastic job on this.I really enjoy the retro style .

Remember when thats how wrestling games were? We're lucky we atleast have multiple styles. The amazing edits overpower the need for exact finishers and varying move. Imagine how long it took him to put this all together. Editing the moves is minor :)

Thanks again for this great edit.

manta wrote:ok so i decided to download this pack based on the roster, so i'm gonna be honest the roster is infact really awesome, but despite the fact that its in the 16bit graphics thats not why i was disapointed, i found out that most of the wrestlers have almost the exact same movesets and a ton of finishing moves were left out, i've been spending a couple hours going through each wrestler and editing there moves and its gotten really annoying and going through there moves and seeing that almost everyone has the same moveset is making me not even want to play this pack

Hi :D

Yes, I used 6 style templets for the move base. If you go to the first post in this thread, and click on the Move Set Spoiler Box, you will see the entire move set written out and detailing all moves that are style specific. This pack was created as if it were an old Console or Arcade wrestling game, which did have uniform movesets. I also explained this in the first paragraph of the first post, so it shouldn't have been a surprise.

and a ton of finishing moves were left out

Now as far as finishers go, I can't say I agree with you there. Each edit should have a finisher unless the move is not in the game, or if the wrestler didn't win many matches and thus never established a consistent finisher. When you say "a ton of finishers", can you give me some examples, and I can tell you if it's on purpose or if I missed something. I can always correct oversights with an update, but when you make a statement like that it can be mis-leading since most edits on the pack have their respective finishers.

I gotta say, this is one of the most innovative ideas I've ever seen. Kudos, man, you made the game into something totally new.

If I'm not happy with a particular move being left out (Bret's russian leg sweep or Davey Boy's delay suplex) I just go in and edit the moveset. After all the hard work that's been done on these edits by C.H., it's the least I can do. :)

I'd like to say that on this note, I am open to suggestion. I can always tweak edits for the next update. The only real limitations is the amount of specials, I don't customize the move set beyond 1 Finisher and 3 Specials.

If anyone sees a move missing here or there, please let me know who and what move, and I'll tweak them for the next update. :)

I think I'll start with Bret and Davey

This pack offers a nice "alternative" way to play firepro. It's not my everyday pack (your normal one is my base with a bunch of kagura, parent, oni, ahep, corey, iamares thrown in), but it's a fun little throwback. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS INTENDED TO BE!

I don't know how you take these little criticisms, with such ease. Kudos for that.

If you DON'T want to play with this pack which DOES include limitied movesets, which DOES include a different look for the wrestlers, then I've got two words for you...PLAY DON'T!1!1

Crap. Screwed that up.

Thanks for the hardwork. I'd be playing a purely pureso game if it weren't for you and your kind.

That is awesome. The one thing about all your edits, they never look like anyone elses, 16-bit or not, and that's a good thing.

I'm about 2-3 days away from having the next update ready. It's taken longer than usual due to having test week at school with another one tomorrow, yay! I have about 20 edits left to make out of around 80 or so.

So here is another preview pic:

Thanks for the preview C.H. Looking forward to the update!

Also, the correction below will be in the upcoming update, correct?

No it isn't. If anyone finds anyone else with Parameters set as all 1's, let me know and it will be fixed in the next update. His Deffensive Parameters should be all 4's and his Defensive Parameters all 7's. At least that is what they will be when I fix him. :)

God bless you, downloaded your pack and had my first 60 minute + match. Difficulty 9, 4 on 4 elimination match. Sting, Goldberg, Scott Steiner, and Bret Hart vs. Hollywood Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Syxx. 79:54 seconds, Sting makes Nash tap as they are the last 2. This is what 16 bit games should have been like. Thank you!

WOW kinda quite so far, not a lot of fan far like the other releases if i recall right, it's a FANTASTIC save though!!! Im waiting on Faceless to give us a PS3 save, one question C.H. you have Greg Helms & Shannon Moore if i remember right, but no Evan Kourages? (He was also a member of three count, the "leader" so to speak).

I thought Dungeon Of Doom was around a LONG time before Nitro, i don't remember them being a part of Nitro (especially sullivan, i don't think he was around then)

Of course that was many moons ago, im probably wrong.

they were around...just fizziling out during the second or third year.

i think he put them here because they were a huge part of wcw hulkamania and it wouldnt makes sense to have hogan in the nitro era and DOD in the wcw saturday era.

Good question. The Dungeon of Doom formed in 95 and were around until 97. The Giant and Konnan were also in the Dungeon but are separate on this update. Since Hulk Hogan appears in almost every update I decided to make the first WCW pack "Hogan-Free" to focus more on Sting, Steamboat and the pre-Hogan WCW. But yes, the Dungeon could pass on either pack I just didn't want Hulkamania runnin' wild on every update.

Gameguywld wrote:WOW kinda quite so far, not a lot of fan far like the other releases if i recall right, it's a FANTASTIC save though!!!

I think it really varies on what your memory of Nitro is. Nitro was hot from around 96-98, but after they added Thunder and failed to go anywhere after the n.W.o. started dying out, the show got really bad. I couldn't imagine what it would have been like to be young and to first start watching wrestling during the Russo WCW era, where the New Blood and "Powers to be" were stinking up television. For as good as it was there were equally bad moments and once it got bad it stayed bad, so I can see where it wouldn't appeal to some.

Gameguywld wrote:one question C.H. you have Greg Helms & Shannon Moore if i remember right, but no Evan Kourages? (He was also a member of three count, the "leader" so to speak).

As far as 3-Count I had not planned on making them, I made "Sugar" Shane Helms in his post 3-Count gimmick, then deciced to add Shannon Moore to have another lightweight so I may add Evan on the next update.
