Cowboy76's MMA save + Mistico

Hey Gang. Well, here you go. I've done about as much work on this as I want to at the current moment. Not everyone on the original list made it on, but I wanted to get this out before the next UFC and before I became too busy to even touch the game. There will be further updates to correct any glaring omissions. A grand total of 46 fighters, 4 with differing looks. Also included are the Mistico edit I posted a text file for almost a year ago. In addition I threw in the Ultimo Guerrero I created around the same time so you can have someone to throw him around. The save is a .Max file so anyone who can convert it, may do so and repost with my permission. Here is the list of fighters.

Quick question ... I just signed up here (SO HI everyone! = ) and was wondering if i can covert FPR to FPD ... i have a dreamcast, and FPD. I REALLY want these guys, i LOVE MMA.... its the only reason I play the game (Plus its addictive!)

Please dont suggest i buy a PS2 that doesnt help. I just wanna convert these saves to FPD. Thx!!!

Crud, really? .... is there a reason? like different heads/arms and such? ... Cuz i would think that if a program can update a dci, even if you had to do it by hand, there has to be a way to make a .max a .dci .... am I out to lunch? .... thx for the reply BTW.

They are totally different save types, different data. Has nothing to do with firepro, you can't take any ps2 save and convert it to a dreamcast, or vice versa. I don't think you can convert anything from system to system though I suppose it might be possible regarding PSP/psone/ps2 but i don't know for sure...

hmm, maybe you're right .... i figured because in the end, it' all turned into 1's and 0's to the console, that it was just a matter of putting the information in a language the machine could understand. kind of like getting a text file to open on a mac. They both have totally different OS's, but it can be done.

But what you're telling me is that something like this doesnt exist yet? ... would anyone want it if i created it?

Yes, I'd LOVE it if you or someone else created it. FPR came out in 9/05 and its now 1/07 and i STILL have not managed to create everyone I had from FPD.

I would love a way to convert FPD files to FPR and vice-versa.

People are asking, why FPD to FPR? TEMPLATING

If we could get FPR files transferred to FPD format (VMS or DCI) maybe we could use those files in FPD Edit and then be able to template edits. That would save me a LOT of time in edit making and also help those out who don't have max drives or other ways to get files.

So yeah I'd be really interested in using a program that allows us to convert FPD to FPR and vice versa.

It`s definetly not gonna happen. It`s not even the platform issue, but the fact that it's two different games. If it was a multi-platform game, I don't know, it could work between the consoles, who knows. But you simply can't convert from one game to another for obvious reasons, FPR having more edit parts and layers and FPD not having them being one of many.

thanks for making this Cowboy. I want to clarify something in your original post. It says you give permission to convert and repost, obviously that was long before the new release of FPWR to the US shores. I'm willing to do the conversion IF you permit it. Can I make this an American save file for the PS2 and PS3? Awaiting your response. Thank you.
