Shad is still listed as a Smackdown guy, but he really only seems to be working FCW shows. You won't really miss out on anything by cutting him.

I agree

I based some of this off a WWE save I made more than a year ago when he was a bigger part of the show.

Interesting thing that I have noticed.

If you fire a bunch of your wrestlers (seems to be 3 or more) the other guys suffer a drop in morale. I have never fired half my roster at one time but I did it with TNA and the remaining guys lost morale.

Very cool and realistic imo.

Takayama had 49 consecutives title defenses when I had him as champion in my MOR 5 year season mode.
The group was a custom group and I acquired Takayam later in the first year I believe. This man can not lose!!!!

The other wrestlers in your roster could be a lot weaker in comparison. Takayama is ok, but he's no Vader monster heel so he shouldn't be winning every match. Even VAder doesn't win EVERY match.

I think I'm convinced that there is a difference when you sim a match or half skip or full skip. There are a few guys who win all the time when you skip their match but are just average when you sim.

Maybe I'm nuts.

I randomly thought about this today after messing around a bit with WWE v. TNA (really excellent work, Cactus. This is really impressive). I love MMA and think it would be better/easier to make an MMA hacked game than to add mma guys to the promotions that seem to be only willing to run an MMA style. I know there are a few mma saves, I'm going to check them out again and see who is and isn't accounted for. Not wishing to diminish the magnificent work done here, just wanted to share an idea with the community.

14 default mor promotions: UFC, Dream, Strikeforce, Bellator, WEC (the promotions I'm most familiar with, only been a fan for a year and a half) with lots of other options (Sengoku, Shooto, K-1, Pancrase, Rings, M1...I don't know much about the more regional American promotions or which INTL promotions are more/less relevant).

Sorry so OT.

I like it

I have not messed around enough with the MMA stuff but is it deep enough for an entire roster?

We would also have to change the cage mat color. TOO YELLOW

You mean is the game deep enough to facilitate an entire MMA/K-1 hack? I'd be surprised if it isn't.

EDIT: Only problem would be finding 244 (or however many it is) MMA/K-1 guys that anyone cares about. You'd have to get deep into a Legends roster to get anwhere even remotely close to that many.

Not to be picky but did anyone care about Osamu Tachikari? :P

I think an MMA hack is very possible. I imagine if you used every MMA guy that has ever appeared in FP you'd have 100 easy. You could include some Pro guys that have worked shoot. And for rosters you've got all of the default promotions plus the ones listed in previous posts. I think it's all very possible.

I think there would be enough as well. UFC has a large roster and the older guys could fill out the hidden characters/Free agents.

The move sets would get a bit repetitive though.

The Legends roster would be the coolest part. And you could get most of them just by copying from other Fire Pros.

What I would do is I'd also include all the shoot style guys that have appeared in the series. UWFi, Pancrase, RINGS, etc.

Yeah, imagine a game where 50% of the moves are universal and everyone works the same style.

When you put it that way, it makes it sound like it'd be similar to those old-school wrestling games from the 80s.

Or the LJN stuff from the early 90s.

Of course the difference is these would actually be accurate, have large movesets, logic, etc.

I'm in a RAW season right now and we have a brutal war going against Smackdown.

The 5 on 5 challenges have been rough. Smackdown keeps putting together blockbuster teams. Undertaker, Kane, and Rey seem to be in every challenge, with the last two spots switching between guys like Swagger, Del Rio, Christian, etc.

So far they have beat me twice and I have taken the other 3.

I have also made it a year and a half with RAW without an injury. I know that's not too impressive with RAW but I still usually get at least one injury a year.

I still love how MOR can be different every time you play it.

EDIT

I just noticed Del Rio has a totally screwed up moveset. No idea how that happened but I will have to fix that for the next release.

I gotta say, CJ...that recap sounds like an epic month of TEW diary-writing. 8)
If I hadn't already...ahhhh, you know what? You're TIED for my fave poster of the week (with Orator/FishHookCrossface, over in the RPing thread). 8) 8)

cactusj00 wrote:I have been messing around a bit in a ROH MOR season.

The first 4-5 months were going really well. I was having good matches, my popularity went up, morale was improving and I signed some decent new talent. Then I decided to run a tournament for the belt. I always have trouble with tournaments and this one was a bit of a bomb.

I was still feeling good though and I thought I could try a little tour of Japan. I booked my guys with the highest popularity in Japan and even paid a hefty sum to us Misawa in the main event. Total disaster.

This might have been one of the worst cards I have ever put together. Even the Misawa/Roderick Strong main event was the shits (I really need to fix the Japanese guy’s logic). We were in the Red.

I went right back to the US and tried to rally the company with an all star card with all the titles being defended. The card turned out to be decent but it was still not enough to bring us out of the red. On top of that I lost Jay Briscoe (tag champ), Claudio, and someone else (forgot) to injury.

Last chance.

I knew ROH was done if I didn’t pull of a mega card. I decided to go with all singles matches due to one half of my tag champs being done. I also fired four dudes to try and reduce payroll. I still needed a monster card though but my boys delivered. All of the matches were in the 90’s and we managed to just sneak out of the red.

Now I have to rebuild again.

Dear Cactus thank you so much for resending me your mod. Due to your actions i was able to get the hack running awesomely on my iPhone. The thing is I was playing the hack and my little kinda took intrest. He pretty much is a smackdown fan but he gave up on the games after here comes the pain. He watched as I booked a PPV and watched the results and dammit if he was hooked. I had to go find my PSP and put Your hack on it so he can play. So far in his play through Matt Hardy wanted to talk about his contract. My little brother declined and boom R-Truth jumps to Raw with IC title witch he just one off of Ziggler. Hardy jumps to Raw and so does Kofi Kingston. My brother was hotter than a firecracker because his rank under title dropped to #15. My bro went on ramepage trying to burry Raw. He's so addicted that he fell asleep booking PPV 19.
